Background
I knew from a very young age that I wanted to be a part of the film industry, and pursuing that dream has been one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Living local to St. Louis has allowed me to venture into many different job roles. When I first began this journey, I really loved video editing. I went to college to learn how to edit professionally. During this time, I met a bunch of amazing people who recommended that I get involved on film sets and that the best way to do this was to start out as a Production Assistant. I began finding local PA jobs and surprisingly really loved the work. It led me to realize that even though editing seemed to be my calling, I absolutely love meeting new people, traveling, and taking on new adventures. Instead of editing in solitude for hours on end, I preferred to be in the field.
I began noticing that making strong impressions and lasting connections is very important to having a successful career in the film industry. What started out as day jobs eventually led to months-long employment. From a PA, to Media Manager/APOC, to now Associate Producer, I feel as though my editing background and ability to craft a story benefits each and every role I take on.
Admittedly, I still haven't decided what my end goal career-wise is. But I love taking things one day at a time and remaining open-minded through it all. I strive to give one hundred percent in every job position that comes my way, and I'm excited to see where each new God-given opportunity takes me.
